After launching a public campaign inviting citizens to submit their ideas for a new slogan for Marion County, a committee of various diverse leaders were solicited to review, select or enhance one of the entries. “We had a tremendous response from the public. The slogans were extremely varied although all were positive and pointed to all the wonderful amenities Marion County has to offer. Economic Developer, Rodney Berry led the formed committee in a 3 day “Creative Class” directed to remove all barriers and focus on a slogan that defined Marion County. After countless slogans were presented one member of the committee sighed in frustration and said, “People simply live here because everything is just right. Light bulbs popped up all over the room and Marion County’s slogan was shortly afterwards adopted. Indeed Marion County is just right!
