Governor Henry McMaster and other dignitaries were on hand at the Harbor Freight Tools groundbreaking ceremony held today to celebrate the additional 1 million sq. ft. expansion that will add another 500 new jobs at the company's east coast distribution facility in Dillon. This makes HFT's third expansion since locating in the Tri-County Industrial Park in 2001, making the facility the size of 34 football fields and the third largest distribution facility in the United States! The Tri-County Industrial Park is shared equally among Marion, Marlboro and Dillon Counties, and generates much-needed tax revenue for each. The project will be completed in 2019.
